Screen Printing
Test data: |
When inquiring, please provide us in time with a PDF (low res.) in order to put us into the position to offer the most sensible way of production. |
Production: |
For internal data processing we need an open editable Freehand EPS-file. |
Data format: | |
Layout: |
The layout of a flag needs to be provided with a vector program (Freehand, Illustrator, etc?). For fast processing of your data the layout needs to be provided as an open editable Freehand EPS-file. All other type of files (see "Programs" as well) need to be converted additionally for further internal processing. Original import pictures (high resolution image files) and postscript font files of the typography used (regard licenses!) are to be provided. |
Image data: |
Coloured images need to be available in CMYK-mode, black-and-white images as grey-scale. Images which where saved in different colour spaces (e.g. RGB, Lab) cannot be processed without conversion. As a result, a guarantee for the correct adjustment/adaptation of your image data cannot be given. The respective image resolution in relation to the screen ruling desired can be found under "Resolution". |
PDF: |
Please generate a PostScript-file in your respective application program and convert this file into a printable PDF afterwards. We advise against generating a PDF directly out of the application program. All images and typographies used should be embedded in the pdf-file. |
Scale: |
The files and drafts are to be produced on a scale of 1:10 referring to the final format. |
Bleed: |
As bleed difference please add 5 mm to your data (Scale = 1:10). For a tunnel made of same material please add a bleed difference according to the pole?s diameter. |
Colours: |
If images contain spot colours, please specify them according to the colour systems HKS, RAL or Pantone. |
Proof: |
For adjustment of the reproduction in terms of colour we need a colour-binding proof or a press proof. |
Trapping: |
The single respective colours are laid out without trapping for further print. Colours are omitted against each other. Overprinting of plain images is not possible. |
Outlines/line width: |
If possible, please do not use outlines around objects. |
Fonts: |
Fonts used in a file need to be provided as original fonts (character set and postscript fonts). With smaller amounts (logos or company names) alternatively the conversion of fonts into paths would be possible. |
Resolution: |
The respective screen ruling is determined by the intended use the material. For a screen ruling in the original (final product) of 5 L/cm we need a resolution (regarding the file M.: 1:10) of ideally 254 DPI (min. 150 DPI). For a screen ruling in the original (final product) of 7,5 L/cm we need a resolution (regarding the file M.: 1:10) of ideally 380 DPI (min. 230 DPI). For a screen ruling in the original (final product) of 15 L/cm we need a resolution (regarding the file M.: 1:10) of ideally 760 DPI (min. 460 DPI).

Originals for Scanning: |
Originals which are to be scanned should be on a scale of 1:10. However, documents can be scanned to a maximum of DIN A 3. The scanning of documents demands reworking. This results in extra graphical charges for scanning and retouching. |
Other drafts/Masters: |
Depending on quality and necessary reworking, additional costs will arise. |
